Sara Bareilles

This is probably a little late to realise that Sara Bareilles has a new album, but I recently discovered it. I am in love with her music, but I can't possibly follow all the artists I like as well as everything else.

So here is her most recent music video "Brave".

Her music is always so refreshing and I think this video highlights this perfectly. It always makes me smile and just want to let go of everything. It makes people free. Even though some of her songs may be something which isn't a positive thing like "Say you're sorry" but it is portrayed in such a good way that isn't wildly negative. 

I will definitely listen to her new album.

I love this new season's Celine bags. Though I know that I can never afford these any time soon -- so never hold any of them, I think they are amazing. They are classy, and the new designs are so innovative! (I mean who thought of a fortune cookie looking bag?!)

Butter London Nail Polish

I have to admit, I'm kind of a nail maniac. I don't usually do nail art or anything like that because I don't have the time to spend so much time on my nails - but I do always have some sort of nail polish on if I can.

I recently bought Butter London nail polish - I usually went for OPI but thought I would give it a change.  So I bought 2 of these nail colours - Big Smoke & British Racing Green.

So far I like them quite a lot. The lacquer hasn't dried up yet, but I guess I'll have to see how long they actually last and they can be applied quite easily. The colours also transfer quite well because its quite rich.

I also bought the set that came with base coat, top coat and nail polish remover. So far I like them but I really have to judge them more as time goes on.

Korean Food!! 

삼계탕 (samgaetang)

- A whole chicken with rice inside. It is cooked with ginseng and different herbal things. (I'm not really sure) 

Korean Shabu Shabu

밀면 (milmyun)

- Noodles made out of buckwheat - it has a chew texture. 

It comes in 2 different ways, with cold soup for mixed in chill sauce like below. (:

양곱창 (yang gop chang)

 - grilled sheep intestines

 - actually sounds gross in this context but if you don't think about it practically its quite nice (kind of like french snails. I guess)

 - In korea, you can usually get fried rice done on the pan afterwards. Its a really nice end of the meal thing.

Korean raw seafood - 회

A korean cuisine which is not very popular amongst foreigners as it includes raw fish. It is most popular in busan due to it overlooking the sea. 

In this particular place, the fish market is found of the bottom floor with the restaurants on the floor above. The fish market is so huge, I have no idea how people pick which shop to actually buy the fish in!  

Fish is first bought from the market and they prepare it in front of you - its quite grim to watch them skin the fish, so I couldn't really take a picture of it. But here is the basic view of the market. 

Prepared fish which is eaten in the restaurant - you know its completely fresh because you just bought it from the market. 

산낙지 (Sannakji)

Small octopus is also eaten raw. The legs of the octopus still moves so it can be quite gross at first, but if you try it and not think about it too much it's actually quite fun to eat! 

This was actually part of a task in 'Amazing Race 4'.

60s Lashes

The 60s had great dramatic lashes illustrating the baby doll faces. It was always the highlight of their makeup, or was part of sexy bedroom makeup. 

Though Twiggy was the icon for this look, other female "it girls" at the time definitely pulled it off.
